Does NOT block gambling ads, sports information sites, long-term investment sites, loot boxes. You cannot choose categories - all are blocked.

Set it up

Create an account at gamban.com (or claim a free state licence via the program link).
Download Gamban on every device: App Store (iPhone/iPad), Google Play (Android), and the desktop installer for Windows/Mac.
Sign in on each device and follow the prompts to enable blocking (on iPhone this installs a filter/VPN-type profile - exact wording). · unconfirmed
On iPhone, pair it with Screen Time: have a trusted person set the Screen Time passcode and block deleting apps so Gamban can't easily be removed (see iPhone Screen Time layer).

Can you undo it in a weak moment?

Gamban's policy: 'Once Gamban is installed on your devices, we will not remove it until your subscription ends.' (Gamban uninstall guide, 27 May 2026). Whether a user can still delete the app/profile on iOS or Android by themselves is pair with Screen Time/Family Link locks held by someone else.

What it won’t do

When the subscription or free trial ends, 'Gamban will stop working, and you will be able to access all gambling sites and apps on all your devices.'
Device-level only: does not stop betting at retail sportsbooks/casinos, by phone, or on a device without Gamban.
Does not block gambling advertising.
Also blocks trading and crypto platforms - may be a problem for people who use those for work.
State free-licence programs can run out (Michigan had a 100-licence cap per batch).
